With custom firmware 5.50 GEN-B2 you can use homebrew applications, ISO files, emulators, etc.
We can do this from any firmware version as well as on "tiled" PSP.

It is only if you have the older "thick" PSP that we can install "1.5 kernel" which is used to start most emulators / homebrews. If you have a "slim" you have to download "eLoader" yourself
We can install Custom Firmware on PSP "barrel" and "slim / bit", unfortunately not on the absolute newest PSP slim that began to appear in the Stockholm stores during October 2008. It does not matter if your PSP is "brick" after for example failed attempts to upgrade the firmware, or what version of firmware it has installed upon entering.
