Due to the new Copyright Act 2005-07-01, we are not allowed to market products whose primary purpose is to circumvent copy protection. As a private individual, however, you have the right to circumvent copy protection if it is required to see / listen to a work to which you have legal access. It is up to you as a private person to make sure that you use this product legally.
1 year warranty on modified base drives, however, does not apply to errors due to malfunctioning because there are so powerful "tools" that you can easily make it stop working by "flashing" incorrectly or removing important files from the hard drive ...
We recommend reading our Evolution-X support forum, switching to a larger hard disk, flashing, etc.
If you already have an XBOX, we will charge SEK 995 to mount a SmartXX chip.
If you have a large hard drive that you want to get mounted, then 300 SEK will be added, then preparation of the hard drive, installation and removal of system files.
If you want to use XBOX LIVE then you have to turn off the chip. Therefore, XBOX LIVE only works with original games from the region your XBOX is intended for. If you happen to use an XBOX LIVE feature in MS DASHBOARD or in any game with the chip active, your XBOX PERMANENT will be barred from XBOX LIVE. We do NOT guarantee that XBOX LIVE will work on any modified xbox, even if the chip is turned off, future checks on eg. The contents of the hard drive cause a modified xbox to be blocked.
SmartXX has a menu system instead of power switches, and includes functions for turning the chip on / off, and activating any combination of 256K, 512K, 1024K, 2048K BIOS. The chip holds a total of max 3584K BIOS, other space on the chip is used for its own operating system, backup of the xbox's eprom etc.
It also contains a backup function so you can always flash the chip without having to connect it to any pc e.edyl.
