LinkSys WRT54GS is the obvious router for wireless networking. It can handle both 802.11b and 802.11g. It also has SpeedBooster technology that can get traffic up to 108mbps. It is easy to set up and works with both portable consoles such as the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP.
Next-generation consoles will all use wireless networks. And the portable market is already using these protocols.
The router also has 4 common ports in case you want to distribute the network to computers with network cable as well.

It manages to run kaiStation, which allows you to play LAN-based games over the Internet.
